A first exhibition from Victoria McGinness, ‘NOTHING TO SEE HERE’, features a collection of vivid embroideries, typographic studies and paintings made from second-hand materials. Emphasising the importance of utilising the embodied energy of pre-existing objects before buying new.

The pieces in the exhibition reflect her ruminations on mass inaction, life’s absurdities, and glimpses into nature’s wonder that carry her through.

‘Nothing to see here’ is a phrase frequently used by authorities to encourage people to disperse and move on. Using the medium of embroidery, oft overlooked due to ties with women’s domestic work. Victoria invites you to revel in nature, fume and grin, while looking deeper into the dangers of societal and ecological ignorance.
