Mitchell Asquith

There is no arriving

Off the Kerb
Friday 16 JulyThursday 29 July

There Is No Arriving developed during Melbourne’s stage 4 lockdown in 2020. During this period of isolation, Mitchell’s work became accentuated by the tension and paranoia created from the enduring unpredictability of each day.

Anxiety, uncertainty and vulnerability are driving themes within this series, influenced by the unfolding Covid crisis engulfing the world.

Existing within a landscape of temporal layers, where mind and body are constantly sculpted by the flow of causality, There Is No Arriving is a confluence of one's physical and psychological space.
