DEAN CROSS

OVERTURE (GODZILLA)

STATION
Saturday 3 FebruarySaturday 2 March

STATION is delighted to present our forthcoming exhibition with Dean Cross, OVERTURE (GODZILLA), his second solo presentation with the gallery.

Centralised around the fear and looming threat of the unknown, Cross uses an erratic combination of text, colour and collage to challenge the audience in finding new connections (or paradoxes) between the works and to generate new meaning. Through his manipulation of line, over exaggerated features and abstracted shapes, Cross confronts the expectations of painting, whilst revealing the truths of portraiture and what is unable to be concealed.
